Joyce White believes that creating art objects can provide feelings of peace, satisfaction and accomplishment. She had a vision to share this creative healing art with other women and children who were in transition and fleeing abusive situations.

Three years ago, she set her dream in motion. Joyce knew that she could not accomplish her plan alone, so she began to share her ideas with other artists and crafts women. Those who shared her vision and enthusiasm assisted “Hope For Women Arts” to become a reality in 2008.

Joyce then recruited women artists from around the Phoenix, Arizona area  to hold art classes in conjunction with “Hope for Women Arts.”  These classes included painting, polymer clay, drawing, jewelry making, other art media and later even a sewing class.  Today the “Hope For Women Arts” team consists of  a driven and diverse volunteer network including business professionals, artists, and advisers.

Hope For Women Arts statement of vision is to; •    Help women learn how to embrace their inner strengths, empowering them to take control of their lives.  In addition to our workshops and services provided, we also offer information and referrals service.

•  To inspire them to love themselves along improving their overall quality of life. •    Inspiring women to realize their own personal growth, potential, and become self-respected, independent, joyful members of society, ultimately improving the quality of life for themselves and their families.

From her seed of a dream, Joyce White did manifested a whole garden of future positive possibilities for countless women in distress. Although, due to health reasons,Ms. White has stopped teaching workshops and classes at the shelters, she still donates to several of them. If you would like to donate to one of the shelters and to two of the organizations that Joyce is affiliated with is  The Bravery Project and the Artizona. To learn more please visit her links  page in the this website.

In her past history, Joyce White has experienced a great deal of personal hardship.  Today, both her creative life and her contribution to her community serve as a compassionate testimony to her ability to overcome even the darkest of obstacles! I believe that Joyce White has a heart of gold!
